The AV Lounge has an “album club.” What’s that? It’s like a book club, but for music albums. Each month, the club will choose an album that we plan on discussing. You will listen to the album, absorb every ounce of emotion from it, and then you will come and talk about it with a group of fellow music lovers.
What does it cost? Nothing. Seriously, we are holding it at The AV because I don’t want people at my house. You can buy a beverage if you want, it is still a business, but nobody will give you a dirty look if you don’t.
What’s the catch? None. I just miss listening to a whole album and then talking about it with friends.
When is it? The date will be posted on social media and this website to alert people to the date for each meeting. We will meet at 7 p.m. We will start discussing at 7:15ish and we will be out of there by 8:30 (probably, depends on the album and discussion)
Will you remind me? Oh yeah. I’m going to annoy you with reminders about this. I’ll make an event, and invite you all. I’ll do that thing where I “mention” you in a post.
What’s the album? It will change every meeting. We may do special “classic” albums or an album by a local band at some point, but for now, we will go with an album that has been released within the previous few months of the meeting.
